The Craft

The art of hat shaping.

Every Hatwater House hat is shaped using the same steam-based techniques trusted by master hat makers for generations. Tradition provides the foundation, but craftsmanship is what sets each piece apart.

Through careful attention to every contour, crease, and curve, we shape each hat to complement both its design and the individual who will wear it shaped with precision, refined by experience, and unmistakably one of a kind.

The Hatwater Process

We begin with the finest open crown hats, then individually fit, shape, and finish each one by hand. Every Hatwater hat is crafted around you—your style, your fit, and the way you wear it.

The Hatwater House Hat Club begins with your first Hatwater.

Every member is personally fitted, and a custom block of their unique head shape is created, engraved with their permanent Member Number, and preserved in our workshop for life. That block becomes the foundation for every future Hatwater ensuring each one fits as perfectly as the first.
